Hello! I'm not sure if this is a very appropriate question, or maybe this had been asked, but do you have any.. tips, or anything, to give budding artists out here? Sorry! And thank you!

Hi there! Why the hell are you thanking ME? Thank YOU for your curiosity!!

You should look for wiser, much more inspirational words from much more successful artists out there!! Seriously I’m in NO place to give anything that can be “taught” to others. I’m on the same boat as you, working hard to reach my goal creating art.

Besides motivation and determination to work on anything is all up to the artist and the artist only. Some say art is a lonely field to be working in, and though I disagree to some extent, I agree.

In all honesty, I STILL feel like I should be able to draw better, and that frustration builds up so much I sometimes I want to shove my arms into a meat grinder and use that as my excuse for drawing so poorly. Not only the mental torture you put your self through it, you’ll feel so god damn useless when people tell you “oh you get to draw, easy job” or as soon as you say “I’m an artist”, majority of the people will give you that look with “I’m better than you” and “PITTTYYYYY” in their eyes, you won’t hesitate to push that button to detonate every single nuclear bomb in the world. You get lavished with stereotypes of those crazy, over the top artists that, to me, is unfortunately SO TRUE. Say something about feeling bad about your art as a critique, you’re underestimating your self. Say something proud and happy about your art, you’re cocky and arrogant. These are only scratching the surface of how horrid your life would be.

People can tell you ANYTHING from insightful to rude, complements from bashing but it’s true; they’re only looking at your at through their goggles and it technically doesn’t matter, but it does. It all depends on your purpose.

From my humble, puny experience, the only maybe useful tip I can give you, is that you MUST have a single purpose in art. One definite anchor, your lighthouse, your home, something that will NEVER budge no matter what. If your purpose is to make money, then you need to whore out and draw something for your audience to buy. If your purpose to just have fun, ignore everything that people say. Even critiques are useless. But don’t expect anything from it. You may be lucky and succeed but that’s not your purpose. You need one, single reason why you draw, put that your most highest, most important priority, and you’ll prevent your self from SO many issues you might face. Just like railway tracks for a train.
